Amazon has released their aptly named Mechanical Turk. Does it have any consequences? I don't know. But it is good to see somebody trying to get AI into the mainstream. By that I mean they found a clever way to expand their business revenue, without stepping on anyone's toes, and without too much investment either. They are betting on forward thinking companies, small and big, to start looking for common sense experts - you and me. I think they have a chance.

Where does this fit with the "Long Tail" theory? I think Amazon are in for a prime cut here?

They are in for a prime cut, if their servers are not so loaded. I think the automaton is a bigger success than they though it will be:)
